Dr. Tucker Cross received her B.A. at The University of Oklahoma in Fashion Design, her M.S. from the University of Central Oklahoma in Interior Design, and her Ph.D. in Environmental Psychology from Lund University, Sweden. She currently resides in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma where she continues to work in the fields of Interior Design, Environmental/Architectural Psychology conducting research and publishing studies to help advance the knowledge in these areas.
For the past 18 years, Lisa has taught courses in interior design, supervised architecture and engineer master students, and worked as a lead supervisor to several students conducting their post graduate thesis work. Lisa is currently a Senior Full‐Time Faculty for the Art Institute of Pittsburgh Online Division. Besides her teaching responsibilities at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh Online Division, she works on the Admission Acceptance Committee, and is an active member of the Deans Advisory Committee. Lisa is also the Student Ambassador for the Interior Design Program and works as the Liaison for the Senior Project Certificate of Excellence Award program. This program recognizes seniors for their outstanding achievement in their final thesis project. Lisa has traveled extensively and has had the opportunity to share her knowledge with others internationally.
Lisa’s Ph.D. studies focused on developing a checklist (method) for evaluating and developing outdoor environments within multi‐family housing and urban spaces. She has worked within the design and interior design industry for the past 25 years. Lisa is a registered interior designer in the State of Oklahoma and holds a certificate of recognition from the National Council for Interior Design Qualification and is a (CIDA) Council for Interior Design Accreditation site visitor.
